Every nine minutes, an infant dies from neonatal tetanus. That short lifetime is marked by pain, robbing a mother of the chance to provide even the comfort of her touch. Most of these tragedies occur in countries that haven't yet eliminated maternal and neonatal tetanus.

With The Eliminate Project: Kiwanis eliminating maternal and neonatal tetanus, Kiwanis International has joined forces with UNICEF to change the world for millions of mothers and babies. Three countries have recently eliminated tetanus: China, East Timor and Tanzania. Won’t you help us continue the work and help many more? (See below!)

You can rise to the occasion by making a donation to the Eliminate Project to rid the world of the suffering and early death of newborns.

We make recognition easy. Your Kiwanis Club of Akron Foundation is offering a giving match to help fight MNT for any gift amount.   However, if you give a gift of $625.00, the Foundation will match it, making you eligible to receive the Walter Zeller Fellowship commemorative lapel pin, a medallion encased in a display box, a certificate for recognition and other forms of recognition.
